Flooring project in Philadelphia suburb in new jersey. Mixture of terrazzo flooring from the 1960s and 1980s. They had a maintenance crew apply multiple coats of wax over decades without properly fully stripping the floors.
They decided to search for professional floor care companies to get the job done right. We ended up stripping up to 60-70 coats of wax off some areas, mostly the edges. After multiple passes with propane stripping machine and scrapping of edges we was able to get to the original terrazzo floor. The floor did have some staining and wear that could of been polished to look new again but they choose to just seal the floor as it didn’t look to bad.
